Your Life Balance Ltd – Mindfulness and Coaching for Health and Wellbeing.

I’m Karen Rees, a fully qualified coach and accredited Breathworks Mindfulness teacher, and a member of the UK Network of Mindfulness-Based Teachers. I bring my own mindfulness practice to my coaching practice which enables me to be fully present, listen attentively, see things from your perspective and be non-judgemental. I can also bring some teachings from mindfulness and self-compassion into the coaching sessions if appropriate.
I also offer Breathworks 8 week courses in Mindfulness for Stress and Mindfulness for Health, taster sessions, and follow-up sessions to individuals, couples and small groups.
Mindfulness increases awareness, which enables us to make better choices in our lives. Some of the benefits of regular mindfulness practice include increased resilience, reduced stress, enhanced wellbeing and better decision making. I have been practicing mindfulness for a number of years and have really noticed the benefits to my life, which motivated me to train to teach others.
Both coaching and mindfulness recognise people’s infinite capabilities and resourcefulness and equip them with tools for life, to live the lives they want and get the balance right for them. This is the really positive message – once you’ve experienced and learnt these practices and techniques you can be your coach and your own mindfulness practitioner.

Angel Power BA Hons Counselling, Integrative Counselling.

I provide an integrative approach in counselling. This offers support through a variety of different counselling approaches, and can often work through issues even when they feel complicated or difficult to address. This includes person centred, cognitive/ behavioural (CBT), transactional analysis, solution focus, creative (using art or writing) and chair work (this can address low self- esteem, anxiety, unresolved problems with another person, and decision making).
Counselling can be helpful at times during life where a difficulty or issue persists. Whether this is a space to come to terms with something, or where change can needs to happen a counsellor can support as they are not as closely involved as family and friends, they can provide a more objective place to work things out. Where counselling is confidential, it can feel easier to explore difficult feelings for many people.
I have experience working with issues such as midlife changes, anxiety, low moods/ depression, addictions, low self-esteem, OCD, anger management, stress, trauma, childhood sexual abuse and parental challenges. I offer counselling to adults and young people from the age of 10 years upwards (including SEN needs such as ASD, ADD, ADHD, and ODD).
