Repetitive
Stain Injury (RSI)
This is a term sometimes used to describe neck, upper back, shoulder and arm symptoms that are associated with desk/keyboard type work. The origin of these problems is often a build up of repetitive movements in a sustained poor position. Treatment will need to start with a thorough examination, which includes information on work and lifestyle, and then in depth assessment of posture, joints, muscles and nerves. A
treatment programme will be tailored to what is found in the examination
but is likely to include advice on working patterns and positions, a
home exercise programme and appropriate mobilisation of affected parts
of the body. |
